New OOAK Porcelain BJD "Forgotten" Available Now!

Hi all!
I just wanted to let you know that my newest OOAK Porcelain BJD "Forgotten" is available now on the Dollery.com website. The Dollery is having their 33rd Annual Doll Show and Sale.   "Forgotten" is an original OOAK BJD commissioned by the Dollery from one of my original dolls I made in 2011 that was featured on the cover of Contemporary Dolls Magazine and has become the logo for my Turtle Child Studio.  This doll is unique in her own right however.  "Forgotten" is a sad pantomime clown who has been left alone for centuries in a trunk.  No one comes to visit or play with her anymore (her child companion is long gone).  Her once vibrant paint is streaked with tears.   She wears a hand blocked felt hat, with a newspaper fabric corset (with attached "key wind" in the back). She has hand made silk shoes which are removable and she has a custom stand. She also carries a small hand-made stick clown puppet which has been her only companion.
All my BJDS are made with high quality porcelain, this doll is no exception and is made of Dresden color porcelain.  High fire paints ensure a beautifully finished doll.  She has 18 points of articulation and paper-weight blue glass eyes.  Forgotten comes with a hand signed COA and gift box.  Please contact the Dollery for purchase or kmalone@dollery.com.

New Porcelain Doll available on eBay

Newly listed OOAK BJD on eBay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/272017185415?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

This doll is a portrait doll of the famous artist and surrealist Frida Kahlo.  She is made of quality porcelain from my own hand made molds.  She is an OOAK (one of a kind).   She has a hand painted "tattoo" inspired by one of her self portraits.  She is available here with no reserve and the auctions duration is 10 days.
The doll has 18 points of articulation and each joint is cushioned by pigskin leather to protect and hold a pose.  She is 13.5 inches.  She has a custom made Tibetan Lamb wig with several paper roses attached to it.  Her little earrings are little sculpted "hands" made of polymer clay and were modeled off of the earrings Frida wore in many of her portraits.

Frida is dressed in a traditional style Mexican dress made of antique lace and calico.  I am still making her little shoes, and will post more pictures of her soon.  She comes in a gift box and wrapped in a fleece and fabric wrap for storage and added protection.   I also made a custom stand for her.  She will come with a detailed Certificate of Authenticity, stating her details and one of a kind status as well as the porcelain color.  All my porcelain dolls are made with high fire quality porcelain and fired to a cone 6.  They are hand painted with high fire china paints.

Announcing Porcelain Editions of my Original Dolls!

Hello everyone!  I have been so neglectful to this blog and I appologise, but I have been so busy!  I am so pleased to FINALLY introduce my line of porcealin BJDS!  I sculpt my original dolls from polymer (same as before) but now I am making plaster molds from the originals and casting them in porcelain!

At this time I'm offering an "open edition" (for a limited time) customizable OOAK BJD.

My daughter has named her "Rosie" but you can call her what you like.  This is a customizable doll...you choose the porcelain color I cast her in, wig color and facial expression and colors to make her a unique doll all YOUR own!  This is an open edition meaning there is no set limit to production, however given you make the choices and coloring she will still be an OOAK (one of a kind).  The doll will come to you nude but with a wig of your choice.  Costume options will be available for purchase in my Etsy store.
